Building on the hype around Song Kang’s comeback K-drama, the anticipation for the project gains more steam as Korean media outlet Spotv News just recently reported that Lee Jun-young is being eyed for a starring role in the same show.

Titled Four Hands, this romance drama gets its name from a piano-playing technique that requires perfect harmony between two people. The story follows a group of individuals at an elite arts high school—their friendships, first loves, rivalries, and journey from adolescence to adulthood as they explore the world of music.

Speaking about his casting in the drama, Lee Jun-young’s agency, Billions, has acknowledged that while the offer for the role is legit, it’s still under consideration. Likewise, Song Kang’s agency, Namoo Actors, previously shared that the actor had been approached for the lead role, but his confirmation of the same is still pending, courtesy of Soompi.

Both actors will star as piano prodigies in the drama, with a complex friendship-rivalry dynamic. Four Hands may mark Song Kang’s return to K-drama following his military service, wrapping up on Oct. 1, 2025. His last starring role on TV was in My Demon alongside Kim Yoo-jung. Song’s other notable portrayals include Love Alarm (2019–2021), Sweet Home (2020–2024), Navillera (2021), Nevertheless (2021), and Forecasting Love and Weather (2022).

As for Lee Jun-young, 2025 has been stacked with major releases like Melo Movie, where he shares screen time with Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young, When Life Gives You Tangerines, alongside Park Bo-gum and IU, Weak Hero Class 2, with Park Ji-hoon and Ryeoun, and Pump Up the Healthy Love, opposite Jung Eun-ji. Lee is also set to star in Rookie Chairman Kang, an upcoming 2026 K-drama adaptation of a web novel about a powerful chairman who accidentally switches bodies with an intern and begins a new chapter in his life.
