Online gaming operator LeoVegas has told its UK customers that deposit limit changes are on the horizon. The company clarified that the upcoming upgrade will affect all of its brands.
More Liberal Deposit Limits Are Coming
The changes in deposit limits will include a revamped calculation that would also take customers’ withdrawals into account. In an email sent to players, the company confirmed that this would affect all of its brands in the country. These include the following:
21.co.uk
BetMGM
BetUK
LeoVegas
PinkCasino
LeoVegas’ brands employ daily, weekly and monthly limits. The daily limits will reset every day at midnight, while weekly limits will reset every Monday. Monthly limits, on the other hand, will reset at midnight on the first date of the month.
According to the group, the new upgrade seeks to provide players with more control over their gaming finances.
The Operator Illustrated the New System with an Example
To make the changes clearer, LeoVegas attached an example of its revised system. The example referred to a hypothetical customer with a monthly limit of £100 who makes a £50 deposit and then withdraws £20. Whereas the customer would have previously been limited to depositing only £50 more, now the withdrawal would be taken in mind, allowing them to deposit £70 more instead.
In short, the upgrade would mark a shift toward a less restrictive deposit limit system that would allow fans to play more freely while still serving as a safeguard. Speaking of safeguards, however, the new change will not affect limits enforced by LeoVegas’ safer gambling team.
LeoVegas Joined EGBA, Continued to Expand BetMGM in Europe
Several weeks ago, LeoVegas became the latest member of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), highlighting its commitment to responsible gambling. This move solidified the company as both a key player in iGaming and an operator that is fully committed to advancing safer gambling practices.
As an active member of the EGBA, LeoVegas joined a broader family of gambling companies seeking to raise the industry standards and usher in an era of more responsible and transparent gambling. Under its membership, the company will collaborate with other member companies to align the consumer protection measures withing the online casino sector.
LeoVegas will also engage in working groups to address other key industry topics, such as AML issues and transparency initiatives.
In October, LeoVegas launched the BetMGM brand in Sweden, its third European market. The brand later secured the Global Gaming Awards’ Online Casino of the Year accolade, which further underscored “LeoVegas Group’s commitment to delivering the world’s greatest iGaming experience while expanding the signature Vegas glitz and glamour across Europe.”
