Their love story as shared by Chiamaka:We met at an online academy while preparing for a professional exam. I got a message one day on WhatsApp about joining his study group but I was a bit suspicious of the offer and declined. One day, however, I went out to do some in-person practice sessions and noticed him in the busy room —he led his group so well and it was clear he was very focused and knew his stuff. I admired that about him and decided to ask if I could join his group there and then.
Little did I know, that simple request would be the start of something sweet. As we studied together, we became more acquainted with each other and my respect for him grew. I would jokingly call him my “rich uncle” because he always gave ‘30 plus’ vibes and gave ‘dad’ advice. With God’s help, we both passed our exams and remained distant friends. We would say the occasional “Hi” on Whatsapp and keep it moving.
Almost a year later, while navigating a busy train station to get to work on a Monday morning , we met again and it was as if we had never lost touch. We then would chat and talk on the phone everyday afterwards. We also went on a couple of dates and one evening, ND asked me if I would consider entering a relationship with him. I was taken aback but because I’d gotten to know him even more, I said yes. I had fallen in love with Ndubuisi’s unique mind, his kind heart and his sweet personality. Soon enough , he met my family and they fell in love with him as well. One evening, he held my hands and asked me to spend forever with him and I gladly said another YES to this amazing man. ND is my person, our love feels like home and I feel absolutely blessed to spend the rest of this life with him. ❤️
