Tongue-in-cheek alt-pop from the Leeds duo…

Lucky Iris have shared their new EP ‘something to believe in’ – tune in now.

The Leeds alt-pop pair are turning heads with their humour-laced songwriting, matching tongue-in-cheek lyrics against an earnest, and often emotional side to their work.

Out now, the group’s new ‘something to believe in’ EP is fast becoming a breakout moment. Released via EMI North and Launchpad+, the pair’s live shows are an absolute thrill, while the redoubtable Emily Pilbeam at BBC Radio 6 Music is a fan.

Set to open up for Dorian Electra at a string of UK tour dates, Lucky Iris break down the new EP by saying…

‘something to believe in’ the EP is about leading with your whole heart before your head. The songs are a story of playful self discovery, casual existentialism and falling in love with your friends.

Together I hope they give you a little look into the world of Lucky Iris… and to be honest the world of Lucky Iris is pretty much a nicely dressed up version of my own life… and I love living in it… most of the time hehe! It’s a world full of synths, football memorabilia and flirting; mixed with a taste of influences we’ve picked up along the way. I struggle to get out of my own head so instead I’m letting you in. And when all is lost, sometimes you just need something to believe in, and sometimes that’s football, sometimes it’s your friends… and sometimes, it’s an alt-pop band.

Tune in now.
