Manga ‘”Oshi no Ko”‘ Ends in Four Chapters

Publishing company Shueisha announced on Thursday that Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s “Oshi no Ko” manga is ending in four chapters on the 50th issue of Young Jump magazine on November 14.

Akasaka and Yokoyari began serializing the manga in Young Jump magazine in April 2020. Shueisha published the 15th volume on July 18 and will release the 16th and final volume on December 18. “Oshi no Ko” has a cumulative 18 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Shueisha began publishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus platform in April 2022. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in July 2022 and released the seventh volume on August 20. The eighth volume is planned for a November 19 release.

Doga Kobo produced two television anime seasons which aired in Spring 2023 and Summer 2024. A third season is in production. HIDIVE streamed the anime series with subtitles and an English dub.

“Oshi no Ko” ranked 11th and seventh in the 2021 and 2022 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings. The manga was nominated for the Manga Taisho Award twice in 2021 and 2022 as well as the 46th and 48th Kodansha Manga Awards in the General category in 2022.

Synopsis
