It’s all over for the Canadiens. The club lost in five… and I said that.
The club will return to Montreal tomorrow and there will be no media availability. After that, the players will empty their lockers and meet the journalists. Will that be on Friday? To be seen.
And then it’s over for good in Montreal. The Rocket will be front and center.
The 2024-2025 season will have seen a huge step forward and the club’s return to the playoffs. The experience of young players is very important for the future.
And that’s clearly where Martin St-Louis wanted to hit the nail on the head following today’s setback.
Because even though the CH was smaller than the Capitals on the ice, and we saw what the CH needed to improve for the future, Martin St-Louis is still proud of his boys.
And he’s not afraid to say it: he’s proud to lead the Habs.

St-Louis, who spoke of the importance of having David Savard to teach the youngsters how to play the right way, knows that the club has done what it can to win.
And he knows it’s only the beginning.
The pain right now is normal, but I think it’s nothing compared to what’s coming… the joy that’s coming. – Martin St-Louis
St-Louis knows he has good players and good people in his dressing room: that’s what makes him proud. He knows that his club will come back stronger in the years to come.
And he’s right.

– Still.
Lane Hutson is the Canadiens’ most-used player in this series. One second more than Matheson
