Mediatonic founder launches new group of studios under the banner Skeleton Crew

Newsbrief: Over on LinkedIn, Mediatonic cofounder Paul Croft announced a “new group of gaming companies” dubbed Skeleton Crew. Croft noted “We are actively building new games companies from scratch—the first of which will be announced in the next few weeks,” and announced that the existing teams at Payload, Mythwright and Brightrock will be joining the Skeleton Crew banner.

Payload studios is currently in Early Access with open world PvE survival title TerraTech Worlds and previously crafted its sandbox predecessor, TerraTech. Mythwright has published a number of titles including Terra Tech Legion, Galacticare and the upcoming Kaiju Cleanup and Brightrock has worked on the latter two.

Croft’s post notes “things are moving quickly, we are actively building and hiring across the group, alongside looking for new partners.”
