Chinese game developer Moonton announced the launch of the Chinese server for the MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, a competitor to Tencent’s Honor of Kings, on Jan. 23. As a special benefit for players, more than 70 heroes and 130 game skins will be available for free during the first game season. Notably, Moonton has promised up to RMB 50 million ($6.82 million) in cash rewards for players who achieve higher ranks in the game during its first year. The Chinese server will also introduce a new hero, Wu Zetian, a powerful empress from the Tang Dynasty and the only woman in Chinese history to hold the title of emperor. [Moonton, in Chinese]
