Join the Adventure in Noctuary
Serenity Forge, known for publishing narrative-driven titles like Doki Doki Literature Club Plus and LISA, has announced that Noctuary will arrive on Xbox alongside its Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 debut on July 30, 2025, at 9 a.m. PT. Developed by Gratesca Studio, this visual novel-action RPG hybrid combines real-time combat, character progression, and branching narratives into one immersive experience.
In Noctuary, players take on the roles of Fancia Dream and Alina Nightsong. They are two young Illuminators striving to become defenders of light in the magical world of Inlixaland. The game invites players to experiment with unique combat styles, boss encounters, and customizable skill sets across a richly illustrated, fairy tale-inspired setting.
After earning “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam since its 2023 launch, it is now expanding its world with a major content update. This update introduces six new story chapters. These new additions will explore the backstories of key characters. There will be a crossover with Krosa from Far Away as well. Players will also gain access to three new playable characters and ten additional combat challenges.
The update brings full Japanese voice acting for the main story, alongside the existing Mandarin and Cantonese options. Several community-requested features will also be added, including enhanced UI customization and the option to skip battles or narrative segments. These additions will be available on all console versions and will also launch as a free update for PC players on the same day.
