Oluwaloni sworn-in as Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA chairman, donates ambulance to PHC

LAGOS (SUNDIATA POST)- Mr Ladi Oluwaloni, the former Vice-Chairman, Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), was on Thursday sworn in as the LCDA chairman by Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the appointment follows the unfortunate passing of the immediate-past Chairperson, Mrs Bolatito Shobowale.

In his swearing-in speech, Oluwaloni expressed deep gratitude to Gov. Sanwo-Olu for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

He also extended his appreciation to Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat; Dr Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Former Deputy Governor of the state, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos and Alimosho Local Government.

“I am profoundly grateful for this opportunity to serve and lead Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.

“Your Excellency, I assure you that I will uphold the tenets of good governance as outlined in your administration’s  THEMES+ agenda.

“I acknowledge the legacies of my predecessor, and assure you that I will consolidate on past achievements and ensure the delivery of dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

“Part of which are my handing-over of an ambulance to the LCDA’s primary health centre and inauguration of its connecting roads in the next few days,” Oluwaloni said.

He emphasised his commitment to improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment in the LCDA.

Oluwaloni pledged that with the support of the governor and his party, he would bring development closer to the communities.

“This time yesterday, I handed over an ambulance to our primary health centre which had been without one since establishment.

“We are also handing over a couple of roads in the council to residents in the next two weeks.

“These are some of the things we are going to do. I will not disappoint our leaders, our party, and most importantly, the good people of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA,” he added.

While addressing the gathering, Gov. Sanwo-Olu urged the newly sworn-in chairman to prioritise community development and align with the state government’s vision.

He expressed confidence that the LCDA would witness remarkable progress under Oluwaloni’s leadership.

The ceremony was attended by top government officials, party stalwarts, and community leaders, who pledged their support for the new administration. (NAN)
