Prince Olumide Ogunleye’s ambition to become the next traditional ruler of Akinale town, located in the Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State under the Owu Kingdom of Egbaland, has received a significant boost. A group of Owu indigenes living in the Diaspora has officially endorsed his candidacy.

The group under the aegis of Omo Olowu Oduru in Diaspora gave the endorsement in a communique issued by the coordinator, Engr Oluyemi Ogundele from Vienna, Austria.

The group Omo Olowu Oduru in Diaspora, endorsed one of their own, Prince Olumide Abimbola Ogunleye the son of the late Oba Dr Olufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye (Towulade of Akinale) as the next of the Akinale kingdom’, the communique emphasised.

The notable body asserted that, after a clinical observation of all the candidates contesting for the elevated position, they concluded that it is only Prince Olumide Abimbola Ogunleye that can take the kingdom to the greatest heights.

The communique stated that Ogunleye, who is an active member of the association, possesses all the qualities of a good traditional ruler, affirming that he is very intelligent, honest, calm, and dynamic.

The group added that he has strong moral fibre, a perfect sense of justice, and personal integrity, which is an ideal characteristic of a king and one of the attributes he is best known for.

‘He has always been a hardworking and energetic, well-spoken prince. Above all, he would be able to protect and maintain law and order in the kingdom. The Owu indigenes in Diaspora, therefore, concluded that Prince Olumide Abimbola Ogunleye remained the best man for the job, the communique declared.
