The Nigeria Customs Service has made a major interception of a large cache of smuggled arms and ammunition, raising serious security concerns.
While the exact quantity and value of the seized weapons have yet to be disclosed, the scale of the bust is described as highly disturbing, The Nations reports.
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has arrived in Lagos and is set to address journalists at the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone “A” in Ikeja, where more details are expected to be revealed.
