Johto Pokemon are coming to TCG PocketPokemon is one of the biggest brands on the planet, and while Pokemon Go might not be quite as popular as it once was, it’d be fair to say Pokemon TCG Pocket is off to a great start.
The game has topped 30 million downloads already, and recent events have allowed players to fill out their Card Dex with some great promo cards while we wait for the Pokemon and Aardman crossover.
Now, though, we finally know when the game’s next set of cards will arrive and it’s much sooner than we thought.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s new expansionThe game’s next expansion, Mythical Island, will arrive on December 17 (that’s Tuesday), marking the debut of more than 80 new cards.
Many will be focused on Pokemon originally found in the Johto region, so Gold and Silver fans should get excited.
Finally, we’re getting fresh cards to collectIt’ll also add Mew and Celebi ex versions, as well as other ex Pokemon, five new Trainer cards, and “gorgeous immersive cards ready to bring you into the wondrous world of Pokémon.”
It’s been almost a month since the developers revealed a roadmap confirming new cards were on the way, but we’re still waiting to hear more about how trading will be implemented.
