Nosferatu

PETA is reportedly planning to protest this Sunday’s Academy screening of director Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” with plans to send a ‘giant rat’ to the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Eggers uses 5,000 live rats during one sequence in the film involving a plague ship washing up on a London dock.

All rats were accounted for and production took care to ensure the rodents’ safety. The protest isn’t about any on-set cruelty, rather PETA’s director of animals in film and television Lauren Thomasson says in a statement it’s the film’s “false portrayal” of “these animals as harbingers of death” and asks audiences to “give rats the respect they deserve”. Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Paramount Pictures has confirmed that the upcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” will be jam packed with multiple post-credits scenes right up until the “last second” of the movie’s runtime.

The studio held a panel for the film at CCXP in Brazil this weekend and showed off new footage along with releasing a new featurette about Jim Carrey’s dual roles in the movie which can be seen below. The film opens December 20th. [Source: Collider]

28 Years Later

Sony Pictures has released a cryptic brief teaser for Danny Boyle’s “28 Years Later,” the footage boasting Morse code audio and flashes of the tidal island Lindisfarne in Northumberland, as well as red skulls and contamination symbols.

The clip came from the official “28 Years Later” account on X but hasn’t been promoted. It comes ahead of the film’s trailer launch which is due in the next few days ahead of the film opening in June next year.
