Rajinikanth Watches Friend’s Film with Family

Superstar Rajinikanth recently attended a special screening of Kannappa, the upcoming pan-Indian film starring his longtime friend Mohan Babu and his son Vishnu Manchu. The video of Rajinikanth watching the film with his family and praising the team has now gone viral online.

Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu have shared a close bond for decades. As Kannappa gears up for its grand worldwide release on June 27, Rajinikanth made time to view the film ahead of its release. He was welcomed warmly by Mohan Babu and watched the film along with his wife, Latha Rajinikanth.

After the screening, Rajinikanth simply said, “The film is super,” while Latha Rajinikanth added, “The music is also very good.” The couple then congratulated the entire team for their efforts and left the venue.

Directed as a lavish mythological epic, Kannappa stars Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, with Mohan Babu playing Mahadeva Shastri. The film also features Sarathkumar, Madhubala, Karunas, and Brahmanandam, along with star cameos by Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. With a massive budget of ₹150 crore, the film is set for release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The candid video of Rajinikanth’s visit and his brief but warm reaction is now trending on social media, generating even more buzz for Kannappa.
