German tactician Hansi Flick would prefer that Barcelona sign Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman or Nico Williams instead Luis Diaz, Soccernet.ng reports.
Lookman has been heavily linked with a transfer away from Atalanta following his consistent brilliant performances in the past three seasons.
The 27-year-old Super Eagles forward has contributed 50 goals and 22 assists in 11 appearances across all competitions, helping them to their first Serie A title last season.
Last summer, it looked likely that Lookman would leave La Dea for a top side in Europe, but the transfer did not work out. At some point, it looked like he was bound for PSG, but the deal did not work out.
This seems to be Lookman’s final season at Atalanta, and Barcelona and Liverpool have been touted as potential destinations.
However, there have been speculations that Barcelona would prioritize the signing of Diaz instead.
But according to Barca Universal, Barcelona coach Flick would prefer that they sign either Lookman or Nottingham Forest’s Williams.

The transfer is expected to be a complicated one for Barcelona, giving their financial problems. Lookman is valued at around €60-€70 million and they want to spread the payments, an option that Atalanta may not accept.
Nonetheless, both parties could still find a middle ground to make the transfer happen.
Will Barcelona be the best option for Ademola Lookman?
For Ademola Lookman right now, he will be looking to consolidate on what he has done at Atalanta, and Barcelona might just be the right place.

Under Flick, the Blaugrana are playing a pure brand of attacking football, a system that Lookman could flourish in.
The Super Eagles star has also been linked with a transfer to the Premier League, with Arsenal in the mix. However, he has played in the Premier League before and did not perform.
A new environment could just unlock a new level for Lookman. And for sure, he will win some silverware.
