Rumour: Switch 2’s Codename Believed To Be In Latest Pokémon Data Leak

Image: Nintendo, The Pokémon CompanyThere’s been a massive Pokémon leak and it seems details related to the Switch “successor” have been uncovered. According to the latest reports and findings circulating online, here’s what Nintendo’s ‘Switch 2’ is internally known as (via Nintendo Everything):

“The new [Pokémon] gen is apparently being developed for “Ounce”, which supposedly confirms Switch 2’s codename.”

There are suggestions this codename extends to “Ounces” (abbreviated as “oz”) so take this all with a grain of salt for now. Members of ‘Famiboards’ actually discovered the codename ‘Ounce’ earlier this year, and previous reports highlighted how the codename ‘Muji’ was also uncovered in software development kits in 2024.
