Samsung will roll out One UI 7 for selected Galaxy smartphones on 14 April

The wait is finally over, as some older Samsung Galaxy flagships are officially treated with the One UI 7 update starting 14 April 2025, they include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, while the company promises more smartphones and tablets will gradually receive the update over the year.

Samsung currently promises up to 7 years of Android OS upgrades and security patches for its flagships and 6 years for the Galaxy A series, which is an industry leading software update policy that not many smartphone brands can match.

One UI 7 introduces several new experiences to Samsung Galaxy users, including improved Galaxy AI features such as Audio Eraser that removes unwanted background noise in video recording, the Now Bar that gives users a brief on current and upcoming events of the day, and better understanding on contextual actions with AI Select.

Aside from the mentioned devices above, Samsung has announced that One UI 7 will come to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S10 and S9 series, so do check for updates on your device starting mid-April onwards.
