Ever since Shah Rukh Khan made his massive comeback with Pathaan in 2023, following the success with Jawan and Dunki, fans have been eagerly waiting for his next. The actor had no release in 2024 and the case is the same this year as well. However, King Khan is working on multiple projects and one of these is all set to go on floors in early March. The superstar reunites with his Pathaan director Siddharth Anand for King and the crew is gearing up to go on floors. It is an important film and everyone, from the media to fans, are looking to get their hands on any and all information about the film. However, the makers have come up with a plan to ensure that everything around their film starring Shah Rukh Khan remains as closely guarded as possible. We hear that the makers are getting a highly curated team on board for the shoot. The crew, technicians, extras – everyone who is going to be a part of King is someone with whom the team has worked with earlier. “Siddharth doesn’t want any leaks to happen and therefore all the crew members being onboarded for the shoot are trusted individuals with whom he has worked earlier,” revealed an industry insider. It can be recalled that until now, Shah Rukh Khan was guarding his look for the film as well, hiding under an umbrella while in public to avoid getting clicked by paparazzi. “The makers know the kind of curiosity around King and they want to keep it that way until the film’s official assets release,” shared the source. We asked if the cast and crew is asked to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for the same effect and the source said, “I don’t think that is needed with Siddharth’s plan to keep the crew limited. He only wants those people on the set who are actually needed, zabardasti ki bheed nahi lagaani hai. And the team is being hand picked, so that will ensure that King remains under wraps till the time comes to reveal details.” Even the script, shoot locales and other details are being kept closely guarded.

Recently, at an event in Dubai, Shah Rukh Khan had assured fans that they can expect a lot of entertainment from the film and he had also revealed that King is a working title and may change. The film also stars his daughter Suhana Khan in a pivotal role. There are reports that Abhishek Bachchan may join the cast as well and play the negative lead. King will be shot worldwide, starting the first schedule in Mumbai. It is expected to release in mid 2026.
