At the Vanangaan event, Sivakarthikeyan opened up about his fears surrounding the release of his film Amaran and the timing of its release. He candidly shared, “There’s a myth that films with a negative or sad ending released during Diwali tend to flop. For Amaran, I had to rethink a lot because of this. But then, I learned that Bala sir’s Pithamagan, which also had a sad ending, was released during Diwali and turned out to be a blockbuster.”
The actor also expressed his excitement for the upcoming Pongal releases, stating, “This Pongal, Ajith Kumar sir’s VidaaMuyarchi and Arun Vijay’s Vanangaan are hitting the screens on the same day. Both films start with the letter ‘V,’ and V stands for ‘Victory.’ Wishing both movies massive success and hoping they kickstart the year with a bang.”
Sivakarthikeyan took a moment to praise Arun Vijay, saying, “Arun Vijay Anna’s constant dedication and hard work is the real success, according to me. I believe that Vanangaan will be your milestone film, na.”
Written, directed, and co-produced by Bala under B Studios, with Suresh Kamatchi of V House Productions as co-producer, Vanangaan stars Arun Vijay and Roshni Prakash. The film’s music is composed by G.V. Prakash, with a gripping background score by Sam C.S.
Vanangaan is one of the most anticipated films this Pongal, and Sivakarthikeyan’s heartfelt wishes have only added to the excitement surrounding its release.
