Save Humanity in Slaves of Magic
After more than four years of dedicated work, Amethyst Dreamers is finally ready to launch Slaves of Magic. Coming out on November 3, this medieval fantasy game blends the tension of tactical combat with the grand scope of strategic command, offering an experience reminiscent of the XCOM series while charting its own mysterious path.
The story unfolds in a world torn apart by invaders from another dimension. Their arrival brings not only devastation but also the power of magic, which they wield to enslave most of humanity. As one of the few who remain free, players must gather survivors, form a resistance, and strike back against the magical oppressors. Every decision shapes the fate of the rebellion and the fragile remnants of humankind.
The gameplay takes place in two different layers. The tactical missions put players in control of a squad of six to eight resistance fighters, where every move and spell can decide who lives or dies. Beyond the battlefield lies the strategic campaign, where players must manage bases, assign troops, craft equipment, and conduct vital research to strengthen the uprising.
Slaves of Magic will launch on Steam with a native Windows version. It has been tested and confirmed to run smoothly on Linux via Steam Proton. The game is also playable on the Steam Deck, though it will require the use of a virtual mouse.
With its mix of dark fantasy storytelling and deep tactical gameplay, Slaves of Magic Amethyst Dreamers invites players to fight for freedom in a world ruled by otherworldly power.
