Split Fiction Players Who Beat Hidden Level Earn a Sneak Peek at the Studio’s Next Game

What a Day for Split Fiction
You and your co-op partner have a chance to take on one of the toughest challenges in Split Fiction, but can you survive Laser Hell? Hazelight, the studio behind the game, has invited two players to Sweden after they managed to complete this secret level so difficult that, as director Josef Fares puts it, “there are barely people on our team that can make it.”

To find this brutal test, head to the Isolation chapter near the end of the Maximum Security level. Look for Skotos signage with a hidden binary code, then punch it into the nearby elevator floor buttons. If you have done it correctly, the elevator will take you straight into Laser Hell.

Inside, you will face a relentless five-stage gauntlet of deadly lasers. Precision, teamwork, and patience are your only tools as you attempt to make it through without a single misstep. If you reach the end, you will be rewarded with a special video message from Fares himself. “Wow, amazing,” he says. “This challenge, there are barely people on our team that can make it… It took us a lot of time to finish it… This is a crazy, crazy achievement.”

Only two Chinese content creator, sharkOvO and E1uM4y, have conquered Laser Hell so far, earning a personal invitation from Fares. “Congrats to ‘sharkOvO’ and ‘E1uM4y’ for finishing the secret challenge Laser Hell in Split Fiction,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “VERY impressive! I will keep my promise and invite you both to Sweden for an early look of our next game. We’ll be in touch!”

As for what that next game is, it remains a mystery. Fares recently shared that development has only been underway for a month, but he is “fully-focused and excited on the next thing that we already have started.”
