The Super Eagles tonight won the 2025 Unity Cup after they beat Jamaica 5-4 on penalties after fulltime scores stood at 2-2 .
Debutant Chrisantus Uche fired the winning penalty kick for Nigeria after Kelechi Iheanacho, Tolu Arokodare, Bruno Ontemaechi and Moses Simon all put away their own kicks.
Nigeria opened scoring after only nine minutes, when captain Moses Simon finished off a good move started by Cyriel Dessers.
However, Jamaica restored parity two minutes later.
Samuel Chukwueze again put Nigeria in front in the 53rd minute, only for the Reggae Boyz to again peg them back in the 64th minute.
There were no more goals in regulation and the final had to be decided by a penalty shootout.
