Fulani herdsmen allegedly chopped off a woman’s hand with a machete during an attack in Barki Abdullahi (BAD) community in the Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The incident happened while the woman was working on a farm on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
The attack by yet-to-be-identified herdsmen also left others, who were working on the farm, with various degrees of injuries.
A resident of the community, who confirmed the unfortunate incident, condemned the attack and appealed to the relevant authorities to swiftly apprehend the culprits.
The resident, simply identified as Esla, said the victims have since been admitted to a nearby clinic for medical attention.
He lamented that fear has gripped the community over the attack and appealed to the government to deploy security operatives to safeguard the lives and property of the residents.
