How about some Ninja Gaiden 2 Black?
by Fraser Gilbert Yesterday, 12pm
Welcome to the weekend! We’ve had a busy couple of days in Xbox world, and now it’s time to relax with some games – with new Game Pass titles, Free Play Days offerings and the massive Xbox Lunar New Year Sale to check out!
Here’s what we’re playing this weekend:

It’ll come as no surprise to hear that I’m in a DOOM mood after the Xbox Developer Direct this week! As a result, I’ve dipped back into Xbox Game Pass and re-downloaded DOOM (2016) to try and properly play through it this time. Yes, I’ve played bits of it in the past, but never really dug into the full campaign – and Eternal will be next.
Beyond that, it’s the usual candidates for me, although Rock Band 4 and Fortnite Festival are getting more playtime than usual as I’m testing out the Riffmaster Wireless Guitar for review. You’ll see that review very soon, but if you want a bit of a spoiler, I’m glad to report that I’m having a great time with it so far!
Oh, and I’ll definitely be trying some more Ninja Gaiden 2 Black – probably via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Have a good weekend, folks!

I’m pumped about Xbox after that Developer Direct and have been reliving Ninja Gaiden 2 following the release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black on Game Pass this week. I’m also looking forward to Ninja Gaiden 4 (due out Fall 2025) and it will be interesting to see how it turns out with the team behind Bayonetta (PlatinumGames) co-developing it alongside Team Ninja.
Apart from Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, I think I’m also in the mood for another dose of DOOM after all the new footage and information about DOOM: The Dark Ages this week. So yeah, I’ll be in Hell for the rest of the weekend if you need me.
Game on, everyone!
