Tension as top police boss stabs man to death over money matter

Inspector Bulama allegedly stabbed Dauda in the chest, resulting in his death. Bulama also sustained head injuries during the confrontation.

According to The Punch, Bulama was arrested at the ‘C’ Divisional Police Headquarters and is currently in custody, pending internal disciplinary action and prosecution.

CP Ahmed assured the public of a thorough investigation, emphasizing that the Nigeria Police Force will not tolerate misconduct from its personnel. Justice will be served, and the perpetrator held accountable.

“Bulama was promptly arrested at the ‘C’ Divisional Police Headquarters, where he had sought refuge. The state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has commenced an investigation, and Bulama is currently in custody pending internal disciplinary action and prosecution.”This comes amid numerous security crises plaguing the country, including in Yobe state, where the Boko Haram terrorist group has been active for over a decade.

The Nigerian military forces have been deployed to deal with the terror group, which has caused lots of damage in the northeast state.

Police speak on managing vote buyingLegit.ng earlier reported that Frank Mba, the deputy inspector general of police, explained that vote buying is one of the most difficult offences to manage.

Mba made the comment while speaking on the background of the 2024 governorship election in Edo state.

According to the police boss, the majority of vote buying is taking place at secret venues, not in the presence of the media or the security agencies.
