Tesla has changed its vehicle lineup in Canada and added new Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variants for the Model 3 and Model Y. According to Tesla North, who first reported this news, Tesla has also made similar changes to its lineup in the U.K. and Canada.

Adding the Long-Range RWD comes at a time when no more base RWD Model 3 and Model Y vehicles are available to order in Canada. This also means that there are no more LFP batteries from China’s Gigafactory Shanghai.

The Model Y Long Range RWD starts at $59,990, and you can get the $5,000 federal iZEV rebate. The build offers 525km of range, a top speed of 217km/h, and a 0-100 time of 6.9 seconds.

The Model 3 Long Range RWD starts at $54,990 CAD and qualifies for the $5,000 iZEV rebate. Its range is estimated at 584km, more than 160km more than the current Model 3 RWD. It can also go 0-100 in 5.2 seconds. There’s also about a $4,000 price increase between the devices.

Canada and the U.S. added tariffs on Chinese-made EVs, which has affected Tesla vehicles made from Giga Shanghai. Until the two countries change these tariffs, it’s unlikely that Tesla will sell the Model 3 or Model Y RWD in the country any longer.
