Cantankerous and controversial self-acclaimed comedian, Afia Schwarzenegger, has taken another jab at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in her recent TikTok Live session. She lambasted the party for its poor performance in the recent parliamentary elections.
Afia pointed to the NDC losing seven out of the remaining nine constituencies as evidence of what she described as the party’s failure to connect with Ghanaians. “This is proof that the NDC is a failed government,” she declared confidently, sparking heated reactions among viewers.
In a surprising revelation, Afia admitted that while she once campaigned for the NDC, she no longer aligns with the party. Reflecting on her earlier political support, she boldly stated, “I would have regretted it if I had campaigned for the NDC.”
This comment opened the floodgates for netizens to question whether her decision to campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the last election cycle contributed to their success.
Adding to the controversy, Afia admitted that President-Elect John Dramani Mahama had once given her a substantial sum of money during her time supporting the NDC—a sum she candidly disclosed she is still spending. However, she claimed her allegiance shifted after the NPP allegedly “bought her loyalty.”
