Tim Cook Visits China for the Third Time This Year

On November 25th, the second China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was held in Beijing. Apple CEO Tim Cook made his first appearance at the expo, marking his third visit to China this year.

When asked about how he evaluates Apple’s partners in China, Cook said, “I value them very much. Without our Chinese partners, Apple would not have achieved what it has today.” The sign at Apple’s booth on-site read, “More than 80% of Apple’s top 200 suppliers manufacture in China.”

On March 21, the Apple Store retail store located at Jing’an Temple in Shanghai officially opened. Tim Cook appeared at the opening ceremony of the Jing’an store and personally unveiled it for the Apple Jing’an store.

On March 22, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Tim Cook, CEO of American company Apple. The two sides exchanged views on topics such as Apple’s development in China and Sino-US economic and trade relations. Cook stated that China has abundant talent resources and strong innovation vitality, making it an important market and key supply chain partner for Apple. Apple will continue to focus on long-term development in China and increase investment in Chinese supply chains, research and development, and sales.

On March 23, Cook appeared at the Sanlitun Apple retail store in Beijing to interact with NetEase‘s “Justice” mobile game producer and players. On that day, the Sanlitun Apple retail store held a lecture event on “Justice” mobile game with ray tracing technology, showcasing actual gameplay scenes from “Justice” ray tracing levels on iPhone 15 Pro using ray tracing technology.

On October 21, Cook met with students from China Agricultural University and Zhejiang University to understand how they use iPhone, iPad, and other devices to promote agricultural practices.

On October 22, Yang Jie, Chairman of China Mobile, met with Apple CEO Cook in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on digital content, 5G product cooperation, and other topics. On the same day, it was reported that Cook appeared at an organic farm in Shunyi District of Beijing.
