Tim Hortons is bringing back the iconic and famous ‘Roll Up the Rim to Win’ contest.

The chain said they are reintroducing the hot beverage cups with a rim that can be rolled up for this year’s promotion.

In an interview with CTV, Tim Hortons’ chief marketing officer, Hope Bagozzi, said they had heard the feedback from last year’s contest about the cups. According to Bagozzi, the conversation to bring the cups back began after taking stock of last year’s contest.

The chain launched the contest in 1986 as Roll Up The Rim to Win and kept the name until the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, when they changed it to an all-digital format to keep staff safe. Rolls were provided through the app, and the digital rolls were supplied in the app when members scanned their member cards or codes.

Rolls can be redeemed on eligible hot drinks and food, which include loaded wraps, breakfast sandwiches, and other lunch and dinner items.

According to Tim Hortons, there will now be two different prize pools for digital and physical users, but both can compete for the grand prizes.

This year, the prizes include seven Volkswagen I.D. Buzz vehicles, 50 SellOffVacations trips for two with Princess Hotels, three Tracker ATVs, two Tracker Side-By-Sides, Bass Pro Shops and Rakuten Gift Cards, 125 Samsung Crystal UHD DU8000 4K Smart TVs, 100 Samsung Galaxy Z-Flip 6 phones, and other prize packages from companies like Sirius XM, Fujifilm, Skullcandy, etc.

The vehicles will come in the Candy White/Pomelo Yellow colour scheme.

The promotion runs from Feb. 24 to Mar. 23, 2025. All doughnut and coffee prizes must be claimed by Apr. 9, and all others must be claimed by May 4th.
