Upcoming Release of ‘Baasha’ Promises a Fresh Experience

The iconic film ‘Baasha,’ originally released in 1995 under the banner of Sathya Movies, is set to hit the screens again with modern enhancements. This blockbuster, which significantly changed Superstar Rajinikanth’s career, continues to maintain its popularity on television with strong TRP ratings and periodic theatrical re-releases that enjoy good box office collections. The movie also ran successfully for 15 months across India and has been remade in multiple languages.

To commemorate the film’s 30th anniversary and Sathya Movies’ 60th golden jubilee, ‘Baasha’ is being upgraded with advanced 4K resolution and Dolby Atmos sound. The technical revamp is currently in progress to offer audiences a modern cinematic experience.

The film features a stellar cast, including Rajinikanth, Nagma, Raghuvaran, Sharat Saxena, Anand Raj, Janagaraj, Vijayakumar, and Yuvarani, with music composed by Deva. Produced by Thangaraj Veerappan, son of the legendary R.M. Veerappan, the re-release date will be announced soon.
