Robert Eggers teases the darkness of his new period werewolf movie. Apple TV+’s The Studio takes on the entertainment industry with a twist. Plus, what’s coming on Ghosts. Spoilers, away!
The Death of Robin Hood Deadline reports Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe will star alongside Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer in The Death of Robin Hood at A24. Directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One), the film is said to be “a darker reimagining of the classic Robin Hood tale. Set of its time, the film will see the title character grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, a battleworn loner who finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at salvation.”
Werwulf Robert Eggers stated Werwulf is “by far” the “darkest thing he’s ever written” during a recent public appearance (via Bloody-Disgusting).
It’s a medieval werewolf movie. And it’s also the darkest thing I’ve ever written. By far.
