MBC’s upcoming drama “Labor Attorney Noh Moo Jin” (literal title) has shared a peek inside its first script reading!
“Labor Attorney Noh Moo Jin” is a new project by writer Kim Bo Tong of the hit “D.P.” series and helmed by director Yim Soon Rye of “Little Forest” and “The Point Men.” The drama centers around the story of a labor attorney as well as the conflicts and relationships that take place in various work environments.
The script reading was attended by director Yim Soon Rye and writers Kim Bo Tong and Yoo Seung Hee as well as cast members Jung Kyung Ho, Seol In Ah, Cha Hak Yeon, Tang Jun Sang, special guest star Kyung Soo Jin, and more.
Jung Kyung Ho stars as Noh Moo Jin, a labor attorney who sees ghosts after returning from the brink of death. During the script reading, he delivered his lines with charm and wit, perfectly capturing Moo Jin’s hesitant approach to solving labor issues. At one point, fully immersed in his character, Jung Kyung Ho jumped out of his seat to perform a ghost possession scene, adding a fun and lively atmosphere to the set.
Seol In Ah, playing Na Hee Joo, Noh Moo Jin’s determined sister-in-law, brought vibrant energy to the script reading session. Known for her bright demeanor and expressive range, Seol In Ah portrayed Hee Joo as the sharp and driven force in Moo Jin’s office. Her dynamic performance, highlighting Hee Joo’s quick and bold actions, built anticipation for her role in the series.
Cha Hak Yeon showcased a new side of himself as Go Kyun Woo, a former journalist turned video content creator. His natural acting brought out Kyun Woo’s quirky humor and sincere personality as he empathized with and became frustrated by the ghosts’ stories. This has sparked excitement for the depth Cha Hak Yeon will bring to the character.
The chemistry between Jung Kyung Ho, Seol In Ah, and Cha Hak Yeon, who form a team, was especially notable. The team will travel to various labor sites to solve workers’ issues. Despite it being their first collaboration, the three actors quickly built strong chemistry, creating a seamless dynamic from the start. Throughout the series, they will also develop connections with the main characters in each episode, promising viewers both thrilling moments and heartfelt emotions.
Rising star Tang Jun Sang plays Bo Sal, a suspicious character who enters into an unfair contract with Moo Jin, using his life as collateral. Kyung Soo Jin, in a special guest role, portrays Moo Jin’s estranged wife and Hee Joo’s older sister, Na Mi Joo, making a notable impact on the show. Each episode will also showcase strong performances from the main characters, building excitement for the new storylines ahead.
