Xbox Cloud Gaming Is Adding Mouse & Keyboard Controls On Console

“Mouse and keyboard users rejoice!”

If you’re someone who likes to use Xbox Cloud Gaming on console, but you also want to play games with mouse and keyboard support, there’s good news – Microsoft has announced that the feature is being added starting today!

Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring will get to test this first, with the feature allowing you to access a “select” number of titles with your mouse and keyboard on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S over the cloud.

“Mouse and keyboard users rejoice! With the latest updates to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta), you can now use mouse and keyboard to play some of your favorite Xbox cloud games on your Xbox console. Much like the current experience on PC and in some browsers, there are currently a select number of titles that support mouse and keyboard input, but more are coming.”

We’ve spotted around 50+ games getting this functionality via Xbox Cloud Gaming so far, including the likes of Halo Infinite, Sea of Thieves, Fortnite and much more – although a full list has yet to be provided by Microsoft.

Of course, there’s a much more substantial list of Xbox games with mouse and keyboard support if you want to play them natively on an Xbox console, and we have got a full roundup of those elsewhere on Pure Xbox. If you’d rather play via the cloud, this feature will roll out to all Xbox users at some point over the coming weeks.

Happy about this? Will you be utilising this feature? Let us know in the comments below.
