Xiaomi 15T verdict: How good are videos with the affordable Android phone?

The Xiaomi 15T’s camera offers high resolution and optical image stabilization (OIS), but video recording is limited to a maximum of 4K60. Unlike the Pro model, the more affordable smartphone in the T series does not support 120 fps for UHD videos or an 8K option.

But the Xiaomi 15T does offer LUT import and the LOG video format. This allows you to insert or apply “Look-Up Tables” (LUTs) during video editing. LUTs function as predefined color profiles or color correction tables to selectively modify or improve the appearance of a video. The LOG format, on the other hand, is a special recording mode designed to generate the widest possible dynamic range and provide greater flexibility during post-production. Unlike standard video recordings, which are already color-corrected, the Xiaomi 15T records the image with more detail and neutral color reproduction in the LOG profile.

Recording in 4K30 is possible at all focal lengths. Our sample video demonstrates the quality and stabilization of the Leica cameras in the range between 0.6x and 10x magnification.
