On Sept. 25, 2025, Xiaomi unveiled the 17 Pro lineup at Lei Jun’s annual keynote, adding a new 17 Pro Max and positioning the range squarely against Apple’s iPhone. China pricing starts at RMB 4,999 (≈ $695) for the 17 Pro and RMB 5,999 (≈ $835) for the 17 Pro Max.

Chipset & performance
Both models use Qualcomm’s latest flagship platform, described domestically as the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Ultimate”. In Geekbench 6.4, Xiaomi cites 3826 single-core and 12,300+ multi-core scores, or about +18.5% single-core and +17% multi-core vs. the prior generation.

Displays & design

Xiaomi 17 Pro: 6.3-inch OLED, 1656×1220 resolution, 3,500-nit peak brightness, plus a 2.66-inch rear/aux display.
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: 6.9-inch OLED, 2608×1200 resolution, 3,500-nit peak brightness, plus a 2.86-inch rear/aux display.

Cameras (Leica co-engineered)

17 Pro: “LightHunter 950L” main + Samsung JN5 telephoto + OV50M ultrawide.
17 Pro Max: “LightHunter 950L” main + Samsung JN8 telephoto + OV50M ultrawide.
