Use These GTA 5 Cheat Codes: From Spawning Stunt Planes to Invincibility

GTA 5 is more than 10 years old, but people are still experiencing the game for the first time. One of the ways to experience that fun is by using cheat codes that let you do almost anything you want in the game. 

Rockstar Games programmed a slew of cheat codes in all the different versions of GTA 5. The codes can make the player invincible, lower their wanted level or spawn different vehicles. 

GTA 5 cheat codes come in different forms. Console players on Xbox or PlayStation platforms will have to enter a certain button sequence on their controller to activate a code. PC players, on the other hand, will need to type in the code by opening up the cheat code text box by pressing the ~ key. There is one extra option where a code can be activated by calling a certain phone number on the in-game cellphone. I’ve listed out the options for each platform.

There are a few things to remember about GTA 5 cheat codes. Codes can only be used in GTA 5’s story mode, not GTA Online. Codes will also not activate if you’re in a storyline mission. Also, when a code is active, achievements and trophies will be temporarily disabled. Aside from those points, there are no negative actions for using a cheat code, so feel free to use them to your own delight.

GTA 5 cheat codes FAQsHow to use and enter cheat codes in GTA 5?

On Xbox or PlayStation, enter the button combinations at any time when you’re not on a mission during the GTA 5 Story Mode.  PC players need to press the ~ key on the keyboard to bring up the text box where the code can be entered. No, there is no money cheat in GTA 5. The cheats can help you get certain vehicles that can be used to find hidden packages scattered across Los Santos that can give you some extra cash.

No. Using a cheat code in GTA 5 doesn’t do anything bad. Feel free to use them as much as you want. 

Do cheat codes disable trophies/achievements in GTA 5?

Yes. Activating a cheat code will disable trophies and achievements in GTA 5. If you use a cheat code and want trophies/achievements re-enabled, you’ll have to quit out of the game and then load the game up again.
